Well, we're coming to the end of my look back at my European vacation. Hope you enjoyed it as much as I did :-)

World Cup station ID for Nederland 1, with the word "HUP" (apparently some sort of Dutch cheer) written on screen. This was shown in between repeated broadcasts of the morning news bulletin. (The logo is on the "video wall" obscured by the guy, as well as a bunch of much smaller logos floating around in the BG: a tilted red square with a "1" in white.)

Waiting for the train to Schiphol airport... The Dutch train system is much better than that back home, and when the departure boards say it's coming at 10:30, it's coming at 10:30 :-)

Sign at the station.

The "international" check-in counters at Schiphol, quite a step up from the "domestic" ones from earlier.

The Schiphol duty-free using the World Cup to promote themselves.

Our ride back home.

Another toilet shot (last one, I promise :-)) Mostly sterile white, except for the orange toilet paper to celebrate the World Cup :-)

Our last meal on European soil, at the Schiphol McDonald's. Once again, I go for their local delicacies, in this case a "Dutch Deluxe", a belegde broodje styled burger.

"Good Trip!" from the Dutch World Cup sponsor, Continental (a tire company, hence the tire-stadium image).

Crossing the motorways one last time... (yep, leaving from the Polderbaan)

And we're heading home.

In flight dinner is pasta, fruit, bread, cake, OJ... and some sort of vegetables in dressing.

Air China in-flight entertainment, with Jeff "Survivor" Probst at a supermarket... as a cashier, as part of the CBS special I Get That a Lot. It would later show a certain movie about a dragon trainer.

The final meal of our vacation: Eggs, mushrooms, potatoes, raisin cake, OJ and tea.

Sunrise over Thailand...

And we're back home.

Two more photos back home: The traditional Dutch snack of Stroopwaffels (thin wafers sandwiching caramel syrup, mmm...)

and a canister of Droste cocoa. (It's actually also available here, but still.)

Those were fun to look through. And now I'm really hungry. Time for lunch!
